VocalEssence Music Press is a dynamic new music publishing company that offers a select group of emerging composers the opportunity to make their music available to choirs everywhere. And we offer choruses access to new music they can't find anywhere else.

March 16 Interest Session planned for ACDA conference

The 2013 national conference of the American Choral Directors Association takes place in Dallas in March, and the organizers have invited the Ensemble Singers to appear in concert as well as present a session on new music published through the ¡Cantaré! series on vemusicpress.org.

Plus - a concert for the public on March 14 features Music of the Americas: North & South of the Rio Grande.

Music Resource Guides offer in-depth perspective

Our Music Resource Guides, providing in-depth information on most of the works published in the ¡Cantaré! Series, can be downloaded at no additional cost — even before you purchase a score!

The Music Resource Guides are designed for conductors, teachers and students to use to learn more about the cultural context of the compositions. Activites for a wide range of age groups are included.

¡Cantaré! creates connections

Celebrating Mexico's rich musical traditions, ¡Cantaré! is a cross-cultural exchange program connecting composers from Mexico with students of all ages across the Twin Cities/Minnesota metropolitan area.

Beginning in 2008, VocalEssence began offering the ¡Cantaré! program to Minnesota school, church and community choruses. More than 60 new works have been commissioned and premiered through ¡Cantaré! — and from these works, several newly-published scores are now available to you through VocalEssence Music Press.
